TheFC Barcelonahas announced aTemporary Employment Regulation File(ERTE) for players of the different squads, as well as for the rest of the non-sports staff, as decided by the board of directors at the meeting held this Thursday telematically to“minimize the economic impactthat the coronavirus crisis is causing the activity “of the culé club.

“Faced with this health emergency scenario, the board of directors has decided to implement a series of measures to mitigate its effects and reduce the economic effects of this crisis. Among the measures adopted, it is worth highlighting those related to the workplace, motivated by the need to implement measures to adapt the contractual obligations of club staff to the new and transitory circumstances we are experiencing, “reports the Blaugrana entity.

“It is about the presentation of the different relative files in the sports field (soccer and other professional sports), as well as in the rest of the non-sports personnel.” These files will be processed before theDepartment of Labor of the Generalitat of Catalonia, once FC Barcelona has “shared with all its personnel, sports and non-sports, all the aspects related to these measures, and their scope”.

According to Barça, it is a“reduction of working hours, imposed by circumstancesand the protection measures carried out, and, as a consequence, the proportional reduction of the remuneration provided in the respective contracts. “

These measures that FC Barcelona wants to implement following “scrupulously the formal labor standards, under thecriteria of proportionality, and above all fairness, and with the sole objective of resuming the activity of the club as soon as possible. “

However, FC Barcelonadid not explain in its statement whether the salary reduction will affect all sections equallyor if the soccer team – with better salaries – will assume the most important part and not knowing the ERTE conditions.

In addition, in other matters, the Catalan club announced different measures to fight the coronavirus together with the Board of Trustees of the Barça Foundation. Among them, the club facilities, both sports and annexes, have been made available to the Health Department of the Generalitat of Catalonia.

The ‘T’Acompanyem a Casa’ program will be launched, to proactively contact all partners over the age of 80, to inform and assist them, and to monitor during this crisis. This program is the adaptation of the ‘T’Acompanyem’ program, which, in collaboration with the Red Cross, is given at Camp Nou on match days to all those with mobility problems, among other measures.
