[Mis à jour le 26 mars 2020 à 20h45] Why Women Kill is the new American series broadcast on M6 on Thursday at 9:05 p.m. Created by Marc Cherry to whom we owe Desperate Housewives, it depicts the lives of three women living in the same house, at three different times (1960, 1980 and 2019). The latter want revenge when they discover that their respective husbands cheat on them. In the casting of this series which analyzes the evolution of women’s rights in society, we find three actresses well known to fans of American series: Ginnifer Goodwin, Lucy Liu and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.
Ginnifer Goodwin plays Beth Ann Stanton in Why Women Kill. She is notably known for having played Snow White / Mary Margaret in the series Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. We also saw her perform the first woman of Johnny Cash in the biopic Walk the Line alongside Joaquin Phoenix, and played Margene Heffman in the series Big Love. Actress Lucy Liu lends her features to Simone Grove in the new American series broadcast on M6. She is perhaps the best known actress in the cast: she plays Joan Watson in the Elementary series, but also O-Ren Ishii in the two films Kill Bill by Quentin Tarantino. You could also see her in the role of Alex Munday in the film Charlie and his funny ladies, and Ling Woo in the series Ally McBeal. Finally, the trio is completed by Kirby Howell-Baptiste, who is currently exploding in many American series. She plays Simone in The Good Place, but also Nicole in season 4 of Veronica Mars. She also appeared in the Killing Eve, Barry and Love series. In Why Women Kill, she plays Taylor Harding.
