On the podium Asher Fisch
Streaming on the YouTube channel from January 24th for three consecutive Sundays
Ludwig van Beethoven is still at the center of the streaming programming offered by the Teatro Comunale di Bologna as part of the “Open, despite everything” initiative launched and promoted by ANFOLS, the Association that brings together the 12 Italian Opera-Symphonic Foundations . For three consecutive Sundays, from 24 January to 7 February, again at 5.30 pm, all five concerts for piano and orchestra by the great German composer will be broadcast free of charge on the TCBO YouTube channel.
The proposal intends to continue the tribute to Beethoven, which began last December with the streaming of seven of his nine symphonies conducted by the Israeli Asher Fisch, who is also on the podium on this new occasion. Next to him, the Venetian pianist Alessandro Taverna, who makes his debut with the Municipal Orchestra, is called to interpret the complete Beethoven concerts. Established internationally at the Leeds Piano Competition in 2009, Taverna has collaborated with groups such as the Filarmonica della Scala, the Münchner Philharmoniker and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The appointment of January 24 will see the performance of the First and Second Concerts, followed by the Third and Fourth on January 31 and finally, on February 7, the Fifth Concerto “Imperatore” will close the cycle.
The concerts are recorded behind closed doors, with no audience in the hall, with the musicians arranged in the stalls of the Sala Bibiena emptied of seats. Info: www.tcbo.it.
