（ＣＮＮ） New Year’s Eve events around the world will change this year to combat the new coronavirus. The big fireworks and celebrations will be canceled and switched to small-scale TV and streaming broadcasts.
Fireworks over the Thames, which decorate London, have been canceled amid strict restrictions on going out to England. The BBC is planning a special broadcast so that viewers can enjoy New Year’s Eve at home.

The annual “Ball Drop” and celebration events are held at Times Square, but are not open to the general public. As usual, multiple broadcasters will broadcast nationwide.
Los Angeles, USA
Los Angeles has been ordered to ban going out. Instead of having no fireworks this year, a virtual countdown party by DJ Steve Aoki will be held under the name of “the largest virtual New Year’s Eve dance party on the west coast.”
Dubai, United Arab Emirates

On the night of the 31st, you can see the fireworks that color the night sky at least 11 places. In order to visit from outside the city, the new coronavirus test must be negative.
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Fireworks will be canceled and access to the beach will be restricted, including the famous Copacabana, to avoid crowds. New Year’s Eve events will be broadcast online.

The annual New Year’s Eve event will be reduced in scale and the pattern will be relayed. Small fireworks will be launched over the Sydney Harbor Bridge in place of the magnificent fireworks.
There are no New Year’s Eve events in Paris. However, the concert of musician Jean-Michel Jarre at Notre Dame Cathedral will be streamed live and anyone can watch it.
