As the Corona virus spreads rapidly, the Helios Amperklinikum Dachau is preparing for an increased number of suspected cases and patients with Covid-19 diseases. Five patients currently suffering from Covid-19 are currently being treated there in isolation rooms. “We are preparing for increasing patient numbers,” said clinic manager Gerd Koslowski. In the meantime, two stations have already been converted to isolation stations. The number of ventilation places in the intensive care unit was increased from twelve to 16. A further increase is possible. In order to create additional bed capacity at the Dachau location, some geriatric patients are currently being transferred from the Dachau Clinic to the Indersdorf Clinic.
On Thursday, according to the district office, another 46 people from the Dachau district tested positive for Covid-19, making a total of 220 cases.
