Kosmos offers a platform for young Vorarlberg music theater – Vorarlberger Nachrichten

Bregenz A new chamber orchestra completed the final rehearsals for the performance of “L’histoire du soldat” by Igor Stravinsky on Friday afternoon. “Hubert Dragaschnig immediately showed interest in our project,” says Tobias Grabher (24). The Vorarlberg conductor founded the Camerata Musica Reno with colleagues and immediately found a supporter in the Kosmos director. Music theater fans will remember that Dragaschnig himself once played the part of the devil in this philosophical fairy tale in a production by Philippe Arlaud in Feldkirch. There will only be one speaking role in the “Story of the Soldier”, which Grabher will be realizing from April 3rd in the Kosmos Theater. Mariam Avaliani transmits Ramuz’s text, while the instruments largely correspond to the ensemble that Stravinsky had at his disposal, which in 1918, at the end of the First World War and at the time of a pandemic, could not be larger. If the current pandemic requirements in Vorarlberg allow, the ambitiously working Camerata Musica Reno will soon be performing Richard Strauss’ next project, “The Citizen as Noble Man”. VN-cd
