Micaèle is a good-natured terrier dog living in the Solomon Islands, whose life changes dramatically when he meets a white man named Dag Daughtry on the beach. Daughtry thinks he can sell the thoroughbred Micaèle, and takes it with him on the boat – and eventually the dog will sail to San Francisco. During his journey Micaèle meets many people, some animal lovers, others not – and step by step he is forced to understand that not all people are as good as he believed. Jack London (1876-1916) was an American writer and social activist. Of blue-collar background, he became a world celebrity and one of the highest paid authors of his time. He wrote several novels, now considered classics, including “The Call of the Forest”, “The Wolf of the Seas” and “White Fang”.
