San Francisco Firefox developer Mozilla Corporation makes Mitchell Baker the boss again. After examining external candidates, it was decided that it was best suited for the job, Mozilla said on Wednesday.
Baker had decisively shaped the legal structure of the Firefox web browser. Since 2003 she has been running the non-profit Mozilla Foundation, which is behind the open source project.
From 2005 to 2008 she was also the head of Mozilla Corporation – the subsidiary of the foundation where Firefox is developed. At first, she had temporarily taken the lead again after company boss Chris Beard announced his retirement last year.
